The Virginia Creeper Trail is an old railroad path that has been converted into a wide and smooth trail which is perfect for biking. The trail slopes gently downhill and is easy enough for even the newest bike riders to handle. We meet in Damascus, Virginia at The Bike Station (about a 2.5 hour drive from Mooresville). From the Bike Station our bikes are put on trailers and we are driven to the top of the trail (approx. 25 minutes) in a shuttle bus. We are dropped off and enjoy a 3 to 3.5 hour ride through beautiful scenery back to the shop. The trail passes over bridges and along streams, and around mountains. There are plenty of scenic places to picnic.
